PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS || WHICH USED BY MUSIC DIRECTOR || IN BOLLYWOOD A LOT ||
Ravi Tripathi, an Indian percussionist from Varanasi (Benares, India), plays the tabla, the most well known Indian percussion of India.His first teacher was his older brother Vikas Tripathi continue and now days his teacher is, Pandit Kishan Ramdohkar, is well known in India for accompanying many first grade artists, like vocalists, sitarists, and other classical instruments players for the North Indian classical repertoire. Sir Ramdohkar is also acknowledged as a high level solo artist for tabla. This combination of solo and accompaniement skills is not so common in India, as most percussionists usually specialize in just one of these.
Ravi follows the "Gharana" of his native town Varanasi. This repertoire is well known for its dynamic and creative aspect, and its close link with dance and Pakhawaj styles.
Ravi preformed in India many places (Delhi,Rishikesh,Gorakhapur,Mau,Bombay,many other places in uttar pradesh) Ravi also performed in Russia and in Europe(France,Switzerland, Spain,Italy) Israel Thailand, He played with Pt. Shibdas Chakraborty - sarod player. he also has preformed with many western musicians (Kristian Holvilla from Sweden, Lobo Marino band from America, Ensambel gollah from Israel, sebastian lacroix from France, fused head from Noida (India) and many more.
Ravi also working as a composer And he works in a band call Fusedhead from Noida,
Ravi have his own band called Indicia the band of kashi,
Both of the band is successful on YouTube,they do there own composition,they compose own music and write there own lyrics,
Ravi has also played and participate in producing to CDs, In Dios by Kristian Holvila From Sweden and The Sounds Of Varanasi by Sardjan Bronja of ARC productions from England,
