Rhythmuslernen mit Body-Percussion: Übung 1

We'll start right away with the first body percussion groove Groove 1 only uses two sounds: stomp and clap. The combination of these sounds is always done in the same order. Right foot, left foot, handclap. In the first example, this sequence of steps is always right, left, counting up to four. Here comes the stamping on the 1 and on the 2, the 3 and the 4 are counted without any action 1, 2, 3, 4 1, 2, 3, 4, … Now we take the clapping with us. We continue counting to 4. On the third count, our hands are clapped. The 4 still remains free. 1, 2, 3, 4 … With that we have already mastered half of the groove. 1, 2, 3, 4 … counting makes it easier. Clap softly and easily! So far so good! The movements of the second part of the groove are very similar, but rhythmically new.

I am doing it slowly. It's best if you join in, then you will surely find your way into the groove quickly! 1, 2, 3, 4 … Here it is again important to count and to place the sounds directly on the beats. Now we're going to put the whole groove together. I count out once, then play the whole groove together. If everything doesn't work right away, keep trying. Watching and counting are the key to success. That was really good! At the end of the first groove we try the whole thing again a little faster and with a bass figure. I'm counting in again. Still counts. Take a good look at the body percussion groove and the music! If you get confused: Keep counting, keep watching and start again at the beginning of the next round!
