Jimmy Branly – Drumming in Clave 1

Hi, my name is Jimmy Branly, and I'm here
to talk about a few things on Cuban music, cuban drums. Cascara in 2/3 clave would be. What accents will I do on the snare, and on
the kick. I like to play something we originally use
for an instrument named guiro. To get a really good sound on the bell, you
should keep your hand on top of it, at the mouth of the bell, and play on the neck with
the tip of the stick. We don't want to move the stick forward, back
and forth, just in the same position. Cuban music, we accent the 1 too, but most
of the strongest accents, the strongest land, will be on beat 4. 3, 4….
