#6 IJEXÁ AFOXÉ RHYTHMS FOR THE AGOGO BELLS – Big Bang Percussion

Hello, hello and welcome to the Big Bang percussion. I am your host, Emiliano Benivides. Today I will show you two different rhythm types for agogo hours. The rhythm is called ejexa and is often called afoxé. Afoxé usually a group of people. It would be, for example, Afoxé Filhos de Gandhy. This team from Bahia, they play ijexá rhythm. Afoxé Also, we can call. The Brazilians call it afoxé, it can be called afoxé or agbé or xequeré. Different names for this device. And from this, we also have. It is also called afoxé. It's plastic, but it originally came from Lau.

Hence, it is called kabasa or afoxé / afuxé. Usually with a U instead of O. Within the traditional ejexa, it is important to note that afoxê or agbê, congas, which in Brazil is called atabox, and of course agogo bell. I showed you can see this rhythm here that we will play now. This is one of the two rhythms today. The first is playing high and low. Ta Ta Tu Ta TA — TA-TU-TA — TA-TU This is a part. Sometimes you can play here, sometimes you can. Take out the overtones of the instrument a little. I put something (gel pad) inside to break the overtone a bit. This is the first rhythm. Now in the second verse we will be Nao, Bom, don't forget to subscribe first, give your like, blah blah blah. This helps the channel a lot. Now, all I'm going to do is put those 2 agogo bell patterns together in a loop. With a kanga and other instruments so you can play with the loop. Thank you so much and have fun..
