Tom-Tom Drum Accent Beats : Tom-Tom Drum Accent Beats: 3/2 Clave With Bass Drum Pattern

So the first step is going to be look at what
the hands are playing, which is just sixteenth notes. We're going to take all of the accents
out and we'll just play the bass drum figure along with this, to give us any idea of what
we're doing, and it's really this. Now, while this might be a more complicated
accent pattern than the first one, the good thing is that the bass drum matches the accents
that we're playing the hand, so in that sense it could be a little bit easier. And we'll
look next at adding those accents with the hands, but you'll find that really, it's not
that difficult to bring the accents out, because they're being matched exactly by the bass
drum.
